This week we have been preparing with the youth of the ward for a stake youth play this past saturday. The youth of the Stake acted out stories from the Book of Mormon, each ward a different story. There was the story of Lehi and his family leaving Jerusalem and getting the plates, Jesus Christ in the Americas, and Ammon. We showed the story of Alma the Younger, and me and my companion were sons of Mosiah because of the shortness of youth. It was a good experience and we had a good laugh at some of the plays too. Everyone that participated got a little medal to remind themselves of the play. It didn´t rain this week but there was a lot of fog in the streets, which made everything look cool outside. Wednesday we had a training in the mission office about ``Capillas Abiertas``. It´s a program of the church created in Argentina that allows investigators and less actives and people in the streets to come to the church and learn about our beliefs, talking about the book of mormon, the family, prophets and apostles, and so on. The missionaries then talk about baptism, showing them the baptismal font and then they can fill out a form to get in contact with the missionaries. Then to finish it off there are refreshments for all to enjoy, an essencial part in all mormon activities. The mission will set in up with every ward and tell the wards a month in advance to prepare. It is a great addition to the missionary toolbox and I believe it will help out a lot. After the meeting we left for lunch, and then off the the house because we can´t be out while chile is playing. We also played a game of soccer with the members of the ward durring the week, which was fun. Durring P-day we played a game of soccer as a zone, then went to the church to cook up some food and play a little ping pong, because Chile was playing again. And Chile recieved it´s first loss, and the streets were silent. When we went home monday before going to the church, to our suprise we found a pipe had broken in the apartment above us and there was a good amount of water inside the apartment on the floor. That was a suprise, but they got it fixed and we pushed the water out with brooms and dryed the rest with a towel. Good thing nothing really got damaged, except a few roles of TP, and some dirty clothes got a little wet. For all that happened yesterday I couldn´t write and so I´m doing it today. Also my companion hurt his foot playing so much soccer, and we have to stay in the house today so he can rest. Thats the second injury in the district in one week, because elder Norman hurt his foot last monday playing soccer. I think my comp. will be good though and tomorrow we will be out again. Maybe, he is milking it pretty hard. I hope everything is good for you all in the states, Until next week, Elder Chandler.
