We are having a lot of great things happening in Quimey. Durring the last week, we left with members to appointments 10 times. We had a lot of good lessons too. And we had success knocking doors, and finding new people to teach. Me had miracles durring the week, like brother Osses who hasnt attended the church for a lot of time meeting with the bishop. He also came home, fell on his knees and prayed for help. And then was drawn to reading in the book of mormon, Alma 38 about Corianton, son of Alma. He felt the spirit so strong and the strong desire to change, because he feels that he is destroying his family. I`m happy to see him comming to Christ and experiencing the desires to change. Today we went to the Cerro Chena, where there is a statue of a virgin, and then played soccer in a park at the foot of the hill. It was fun, and will have to send you the photos newt week because I don´t have my cord to send the pics. We are preparing for the Capillas Abiertas, and on sunday they took a video from the elders in quimey to talk about what it means to be an Elder. It will be great to introduce people to the church. We are also working around the clock preparing Martina for her baptism the 9th of August. We might have to push the date a little, but I love teaching this family, they are so great. It is an extended family of members, with the grandfather and grandmother returning, and we still have a lot of work with her aunt and uncle, which are a little harder. I love you all, and enjoy your fall, and I will enjoy spring. It`s not there yet, but in the comming months. I am ready for a break from the fridged cold. Love you all, Elder Chandler.

We had an amazing zone capacitation with the president tuesday. It was about: What is the Godhead, a few changes in the Missionary Work and Mission rules, and real growth. The godhead is something that many people in the world don´t understand. And it is a basic that we should be focusing on in the lessons. And then there is knowing about God, and getting to know God. God is our father, not a mystic ball of gas or an alien. The godhead consists of three seperate beings. We are here to live His commandments to become closer to him. Much of our friends from other religions just don´t understand these basic truths about God. Also it is a new requirement from the quorum of the 12 apostles to teach the requirements for baptism to the missionaries the zone capacitations. It is now a requirement worldwide to teach lesson 5 before baptism, and we have a new page for the area book to log the progress of less actives. We can now go to the temple 4 times a year, and whenever we go with someone we are teaching. That means a lot more opportunities to enjoy the blessing of the temple. I am so happy for that. President Cook also talked about ward missionary plans, and real growth which means baptizing more in general, but also preparing them a lot more before and after baptism. It is just further proof of the Lord progressing his work, but in a smart way. A church more strong in number, and in conversion. Real growth requires a lot of hard work with the missionaries, and also a large help and suport from the members. This week was a good week too. We had a rocking family home evening monday night. We had it with two less actives and family Garrido, and they became great friends and the lesson by brother Garrido helped Marco and Gledys a lot with their marriage problems. We hade a really good time. We ended up doing a lot of contacts this week when appointments fell through, which was great practice. More good news, Doris quit her job so she can come to work on sunday. A lot of great things are happening, and I am ready to work hard this comming week and take a few steps more towards our baptism date. I am looking forward to another great week, love, Elder Chandler
´´till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished, and the Great Jehovah shall say the work is done.´´
I am ready to make another chapter in the mission, now that I am serving in Quimey, and have a good district leader and a good companion and a good, strong ward. This week was a good one, while I have been getting to know the new ward. On Sunday we had 135 people attend, compared to 60 in my old ward. It is a young ward too, with many returned missionaries. I have heard a lot of good things about the ward, and it has the nickname of Zion. It is one of the strongest wards in the mission. On sunday we scheduled a lot of members to leave with us durring the week, which is one of the keys to the work, and we should be able to get more lessons durring the week and our people can get to know the members more. The only negative thing I can say about the week is that we wasted a large amount of time waiting for the bus to come, and traveling time, and money to pay for the bus. But thats because the sector is gigantic compared to my old sector, and most of the sectors of the mission. The lessons were really good though, and the members are strong. My companion is Elder Figueroa from Mexico, and so we might be cooking up some mexican food the the house. He in Santa Cruz, close to the beach. He just has a little more time in the mission than me, 2 weeks more. He is a great companion, and we are going to acomplish a lot together. The ward is cool because there is a little country, and people raising cows, horses, chickens, and growing vegetables. My other ward was pure city. P day was awesome today. We fasted as a mission to think of ideas on a vision for the mission, now that the mission turned one year old. Today we climbed Cerro Chena as a mission, and we had a little devotional at the top about the vision for the mission. It was a great experience, and we had a lot of fun. I love the mission, and the mission president is an amazing person and leader. Oh yeah, we are without power in the house too. It went out friday, and we haven´t had power scince, but we have it taken care of and the repare man should be comming to repare it. It is great to to hear from you, everything in summervil. Love, Elder Chandler
